So much on my mind, - Friday, September 16, 2011

Time is flying so fast.

4 months from now, it'll be 2012.
7 months from now, it'll be the end of year 1.
3 years from now, I'll be graduating and going to NS in the months to follow then.

I used to think, and probably still would in the days to come, that months would take almost forever to come, when in reality, it will all arrive in a flash.

If I am not ready for it now, I'd probably think I'll be ready by then, but truth is, sometimes, maybe not so much..

Gotta learn to make use of time whenever it is available for me.

Didn't blog at all about my birthday week, which was actually a pretty eventful week, and I'm soooo thankful for that! :)

The day before, we were having such a high time at the STAC bbq! SUPER FUN! A lot of scandals happened, but I really really enjoyed the day soooo much!! :D

Went to Chili's for dinner on Monday. The food was good, but I'm not a fan of pork ribs. And I learned that I'm not a fan of blue cheese, and that one fact totally made me feel like I'm not a true fan of cheese anymore. Syimir mentioned that goat cheese is the worst tasting cheese. I gotta try it man! ...Although mom said it's not bad (and she can't stand the stronger smells of cheese). Anyway, the chips alone were pretty nice with the cheesy meat sauce! Interestingly, the sides tasted better than the main dishes. But I wouldn't mind going back again, just not too soon, although the receipt tells me I have to go back by the next 3 months to get a certain percentage off mom's bill..

Then on Tuesday, it was Marche together with my Malaysian relatives! It was my first time (like Chili's) and I never actually heard of the place, so it was quite an exciting experience from me. What is unique is thatyou order from stations, so it's like a restaurant with the Kopitiam stalls-feel. I loved the crepe! My choice was chicken ham and cheese. Delishhhh. The pizza and mash were good too. The bread was HARD though, such a pain to cut a portion, or tear even..

Wednesday was a short outing with KJ, due to the fact that I had mass at night. Lunched late at Sushi Tei. Didn't really find the don that nice or anything, comparable to Suki Sushi. I think Suki Sushi is nicer.. Should've gone with the ramen again! Then we went to check out Topman at Knightsbridge, and H&M. Didn't get anything. I thought there was nothing great to buy at H&M for guys. No idea for girls though cuz it's 2 stories full. Guys only get half a story (shared with kids and babies). Went to check out Ion's Topman and other shops. There was this shop where the check shirt was nice, but when I pulled out the price tag, I pulled KJ out of the shop,  LOL. In the end, we went back to Topman to get the 2-for-$29 pieces as I liked one (sadly, only one) of the shirts within the range. The rest were just single coloured tees (round and V neck). Then I had to rush all the way back to church (I was late).

Then came Thursday. Bro's enlistment day. Went to White Sands for lunch (it has been YEARS) at a Taiwan cafe. Food was not bad, and the bubble tea was pretty good, and affordable. Yay to pudding milk tea! :D

Went to Tekong after that to take a tour around the school, and got a bit of knowledge of what I am going to face in 3 years time. Looks tough, yet completely reasonable, and realistic (not to mention)! Hopefully by my year, the iPad is given, and don't remove the laptop please? LOL! Met bro again in one of the auditoriums/halls where I watched 4 episodes of 'Every Singaporean's Son', and a repeat of episode 1. Then a talk took place, then the pledge, then the national anthem (secondary school memories again haha). Then we finally settled for lunch and had a taste of army food. Was ok, chicken, rice, veggies, a fruit, what else? Just like camp food. Oh, and fruit punch lol. The 'saying goodbye' part was so abrupt. No time to give a proper emotional wave whatsoever. The enlistees just left while we were still finding our way to a good spot to watch them leave. And with that, we took the ferry back. See you bro in a week.Cannot wait (or maybe not) to hear your stories to come, haha! :)

Friday was an outing with the 2 Unity people! Watched Smurfs with the guys first. Pretty funny, but strangely (and maybe unlike the rest), it didn't leave much of an impact to me. Not much that I'll remember but I'll probably catch it again on TV when it comes out? The most memorable part was when the couple kissed, and this baby went "Eeee!" in the cinema! Ikr, totally no link to the movie itself, LOL. SAD! After that we went to meet the girls and had dinner at Sakura. Chatted and ate and ate some more, hahaha. Then we went to settle at the small 'open theatre' at Dhoby Green and Imm Joo intro-ed some 'orientation' games to play, and there were some pretty funny forfeits, which although started as really difficult, in time eventually became not too bad. Left and talked about DJ's GF after that, haizzz. -.-

Finally came Saturday! My birthday!! :)

STRANGELY, it was like nothing much compared to the past 5 days! Bro wasn't around, dad had work, there wasn't much to do. Went to have lunch before dad left for work, and went to window shop and go to Giant. Went to Hans to meet dad again, and after that my stomach hurt like crazy. Felt like throwing up, but couldn't. SIGH MAX. Spent quite a bit of time in the toilet and eventually went home. :( At least there was still cake at night so :) ! HAHAHA.

Sunday (yes, I still wanna blog about the day after :P) was FEAST DAY!! :) One of my most favourite days in the year, and events in the church! At first, the older people sat together and the younger ones at another table. Chatted about Samuel's rumoured love interest, LOL. Almost tried to push the topic to me but luckily no one was paying attention! :D Jason came to disturb Samuel also, lmao. Yendall had a hugging stall or something like that, $2 for a deluxe hug (longer and tighter than a normal $1 hug). Eventually, everyone had to leave... :(

Then I followed Marilyn and Anthia around for a while till Marilyn had to spend time with her niece, and Anthia was going off, so I followed Berenice to see her sibs for a while, then as I was about to leave, Beatrice invited  me to go play games with her. So that elongated my stay! Hahaha! Played and hanged around till the end of Feast Day and we took polaroids, met Lao Ren, Nicole, Selene, Isabel, and Ignatius!! :)

EXTREMELY GRATEFUL towards Berenice and Beatrice for blanja-ing me for Feast Day! Will take nice shots of the polaroids ASAP!

After that, me, Berenice, Nicole, Ignatius and Selene went to 401 for drinks, Nicole's treat! That was when I learned that Belicia and her mom are so alike!! Hahahaha! Talked about jobs and stuff, and then we all left shortly after.

... Ok not really shortly, left 401 at around 2.30pm! :O

Yesterday was Michael's flight off to Nottingham. A couple of us STAC members went to surprise visit him before he left! :)

Me, Bryan, Selene, Nicole, Anthia, Zachus, Yendall, Bernard and Uncle Sam! Met Leonard at the airport.

Matthias didn't go, so I was sort of his replacement, but I'm sure if it was Matthias, Zachus would be a lot worse. :P SPEAKING OF ZACHUS, he was talking about how it would be like to be a girl, etc etc. Hahaha. His usual topics. ==

Went to KFC to chit chat and have drinks, and try the double chocolate egg tart.. 1 word: WEIRD.

Played with my DSLR, and took a lot of unglams, esp of Selene and Anthia (credits to Nicole toooo :D) and took some group photos with Michael before he left. Zachus gave him a couple of hugs too, I'm sure uncle Michael would remember them (him) forever, LOL!

Took Bryan's car back with 9 people (excluding him) squeezing in the car! Haha, but it was a fun day.

I love STAC outings like this. I just like the STAC outings filled with pure fun and little seriousness, and no practice (LOL), and sometimes, singing to our hearts' content! :D I promise that if I didn't bring my DSLR to any STAC outing I'll be like :( just like that picnic outing last December, haha. Luckily Nicole had her digicam (remember Bollywood shot). :P

ANYWAY, I wish Michael an enjoyable and safe 3 years in Nottingham! :)

Ok, before I really end this post, I wanna do a thank you list regarding my birthday (in order of which came first):

- Mom for the two hooded tees!!! FINALLY DON'T HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THEM ANYMORE!!
- Jason, Bryan, Selene for the wallet! :)
- Family for Chili's!
- My Malaysian relatives, Ah Shean, Ryan, Sherlyn and their uncle for the treat to Marche, and the surprise cake after dinner (credits to bro for his help too)! :D
- KJ for the expensive treat and presents, seriously!! I may never get over it. :O
- 2 Unity people for the Uniqlo shirt! :DD
- Last but not least, those who wished me on my birthday!! :DDD

I fear that I may have left out some names here, but if I remember I'll add it in. :)
 Hopefully this is all. :X

OKAY, AND WITH THAT, GOODBYE! Whoa, 2am. An hour plus' worth of words written in this (dead) blog of mine! :)
